Welcome everybody! My name is Jenny Colley AKA Jenchilla on the Make It So Network and  founder/operator of Feather Weight Healing & Tarot. I have been in the metaphysical field professionally for 5 years now, but developed my intuitive gift over twenty years ago. Home grown out of Blue Ridge, TX, I spent years embracing and engaging with nature as a child. It was there that I discovered I had an innate sense of intuition spiritually with the land and its surrounding spirit. To say I was at ease when I discovered this though, would be untrue.  

It was scary and unknown. I was raised Southern Baptist and this was the epitome of a “no no” when it came to my church and the Southern Baptist doctrine. I would spend time outdoors, feet in the dirt, walking barefoot around my home embracing the vibration of the earth.  My younger brother and I would roam the pasture across from our house, digging in the earth and finding treasures of vintage medicine and soda bottles that had been discarded over the years.  His intuitive gifts are different from mine, but just as strong and I attribute that to our prolonged exploration in the earth.

An instance that I can recall when my gift first became noticeable was when I was home alone, and my parents had walked down to our dairy barn.  I would frequently hear a voice calling my name. I would look around and listen, confused.  I came to quickly realize that Spirit was there with me, trying to reach out.  It wasn’t until I was into my early thirties, that It was confirmed by Elizabeth Harbin at a reading with my Mother-in-law, that Archangel Michael had been a key guardian in protecting me from danger. It was then that it donned on me as I recalled the moments I was told to look out, look up or listen.

I recall on summer, it was particularly dry and a drought was in effect.  I had been washing the dishes and looking out of the window that sat above our sink. Washing dishes and playing with the bubbles was always fun to me because I would dilly dally and relax (as teenagers do) when I was supposed to be washing.  Immediately, I heard an audible “Jennifer, look UP!”  Mesmerized in a daze, I looked up to see that the entire back yard was on fire. I called down the road for my parents; they returned, putting the fire out.  But had I not listened when the “voice” told me to look up, my home could have possibly been destroyed. 

As I journeyed into my twenties, It became harder to turn the spiritual communications off. Often times, I joke saying I am the “pregnancy predictor” because I receive a vision when someone is about to discover  they are with child. These little visions and voices, became bigger visions and voices. This made me uncomfortable, as I was unsure how to adjust.  I suppressed my intuition as much as I could by partying and going out to clubs, not understanding that as I did that, I was allowing low vibrational spirits to make their presence known. It was having the opposite of my desired result. 

When I was 27, I realized that I was meant for more in this world, following a different direction with spiritual communication; embarking on the path which my life was headed. The instance I acknowledged my path, I met my husband and things changed dramatically.

As our relationship blossomed for the 8 years before our marriage in 2022, he encouraged me to seek out and grow, developing my intuition. As I recall, in 2017 it was his Step Father who had passed away appearing to me, that rocked my spiritual world. He appeared clear as day and asked “Are you ready to talk yet?” I was nervous and said “I don’t know,” to which he responded, “That’s ok. We all will be here when you’re ready.”  He was there standing near my Maternal Grandmother, Juanita, and my Paternal Granddad, James.  

I had experienced my Grandparents communicating spiritually before, but to have a man I had never had the pleasure to meet appear, changed my life. It was then my journey expanded. I met with Elizabeth shortly after to take my Mother-In-Law for a session and it was there I was planted in the paranormal phenomena garden. 

The CROSSINGS Paranormal Research team has been a huge encouragement in assisting with my spiritual development in the Metaphysical field. From starting as a guest on a single Psychic Wednesday episode, then being inducted to the CROSSINGS Paranormal team as a paratechnology expert and shortly after being added to the panel as a host on the Make It So Network, I have thoroughly enjoyed and continue to enjoy spending time with these friends who adopted me into their soul tribe.
